biographical

  • born in 1953 in Dresden, moved to Berlin at the age of 3 years
  • at the age of 5 first piano lessons, at the age of 12 additionally violin lessons
  • 1972 ending high school and profession as an electrical engineer
  • 1973–1974 distance learning (piano) in Weimar (MHS "Franz Liszt")
  • since 1974 professional musician (in Berlin, Klaus Lenz Band)
  • seit 1977 founded a small big band FUSION, later a trio UNIT and Fiedler Sextet
  • 1980 – 1985 live projects with numerous jazz musicians, tours and concerts on international jazz festivals
  • 1985–1991 bandleader and songwriter, cooperating with Angelika Weiz
  • since 1990 lecturer on rock seminars and workshops
  • since 1991 cooperating with the AMA music publishing (mixing & mastering, editor and author of musical books)
  • 1994 – 2001 workshops and test reports for music journals (e.g. KEYBOARDS)
  • 2000 – 2003 lectureship (course audio production) at the HFF (Academy of Film and Television) in Potsdam Babelsberg
  • 2003 (for a short period) FUSION again – in those days named as ~TEMP
  • 2005–2009 a bunch of compositions for piano and numerous solo piano concerts
  • 2013 FUSION 2.013 – the last tour (up to now)
  • since then mainly worked as mastering engineer
  • since 2018 mainly painting and drawing again
